![]() Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 (ポケモンの不思議のダンジョン)Time Expedition (時の探検隊) - Darkness Expedition (闇の探検隊)
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 2 - Time Expedition and Darkness Expedition There will be two versions, as before, subtitled Time Expedition (時の探検隊) and Darkness Expedition (闇の探検隊), which will be released this fall. As previously noted, this is the first time that Chunsoft is making a sequel to a Mystery Dungeon game involving licensed characters other than Torneko or Chocobo. The premise of this game, as suggested by the subtitles, is that of exploration, as opposed to rescue in the original Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. The impetus appears to be a stone fragment which is thought to form the gateway to legendary locations and/or treasure. As before, the player is subjected to a personality test at the beginning of the game, which determines which Pokémon the player will be in the Pokémon world. Among the 16 available player characters are Munchlax, Pikachu, Piplup, Chimchar and Turtwig.
Your Partner is a fan of legends and has a Ruins Shard, an item that they think is a key to an entrance of a Legendary place. Your partner always takes this with you on Missions hoping to find the entrance one day Not only are you missions hunting for treasure, but you also seem to hunt down suspects and criminals based upon certain information from the Guild Other Pokémon within the guild sometimes join you on missions. There is also an underground area that is found underneath the guild. Bidoof was a rising star in the guild until you and your partner came along The rest of the starters have been semi-confirmed. Several in an image which implicate the others as to being logical. These starters are all of the actual starting Pokémon; Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Treecko, Torchic & Mudkip.   At the beginning of the game, when the player joins the guild, the top guild member, a Perap, will take them to see the guild master, Wigglytuff. At that point, the player and the partner will form an expedition team and name it. They will then take up residence in the guild: in the morning, there will be an assembly with other guild members and guild master Wigglytuff will give a pep talk. Perap will then give the player jobs to do, and at the end of the day, the player will return to the guild to sleep. Other members of the guild include: a Loudred who watches the gates and who acts as an alarm clock; a guard, Diglett; a Dugtrio in charge of updating the bulletin boards; a Chimecho in charge of organisation and dining; a Croagunk who mans a special shop; a Sunflora and a Corphish. As in all Mystery Dungeon games, the floor layout of the dungeons are randomised and different each time the player enters one. The gameplay will be turn-based, and the player will encounter and battle wild Pokémon in the dungeons. The type system and the abilities as featured in the mainline games will also be present, though as in the previous Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Pokémon species with two abilities will have both, instead of one of the two. Players may also fling items to cause damage - Gravelerstones and Blast Seeds from the previous game will also make an appearance in the new Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. Another returning game mechanism are linked moves. This time, an Electivire runs the Link Shop, which is located in Treasure Town. Other businesses in Treasure Town include the Kecleon Shop, the Duskull Bank, and the Kanghaskhan Warehouse. There will be over 490 Pokémon present in the new Pokémon Mystery Dungeon. After defeating wild Pokémon, they will sometimes want to become a friend. As the story progresses, the player can change the composition of their team by speaking to Chimecho. Other expedition teams present in the game include Team Poisonrose (チーム ドクローズ), comprised of the Poison-type Skutank, Weezing and Zubat, Team Razor Wind (チームかまいたち), led by a Zangoose, Team Poppobō (チームポッポボー), consisting of a Pidgey and a Seedot, and Team Happys (チームハッピーズ), led by a Togepi. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()   Features Game play includes a new feature that will make use of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. It will apparently enable the user to send SOS mails as e-mail over the internet, which then can be read on PCs, Wii Consoles, or mobile phones.
